Useful advice for getting out of my head and doing something
This is my first post ever! So excited to start working towards my goals (e.g. learning data visualization) instead of just thinking about them. I know I'm not alone in this, given the sheer amount of motivational speeches around passion & co. This blog is my way of documenting my progress and the resources that are instrumental in this process, and if anyone else reads it and finds it helpful, that's fantastic! So if you're struggling to find your path, and getting something done about it, here is some amazing advice that has helped me get started and gain some more self-confidence:
- Finding your passion - I was so excited to learn that I can create and bring passion to my life right now, instead of just waiting for it (special thanks to Marie Forleo and Mel Robbins for this incredible message!!). I love their advice because this puts me in the driver seat when it comes to the passion game, instead of just waiting for it (I get enough of that in dating, so I'm good haha)
- Dreams vs. Actions - getting out of my head and actually doing something has been so hard, but this might give you the push to get started on just the next right thing (once again, Mel Robbins - you're a lifesaver!!)
- Specifically for product design - what's the first thing to tackle?? (UX designer Mike Locke put together a great video that goes through his advice for how to start learning design, since sometimes it's so hard to know what to do first)
To apply Mike Locke's advice, I started following the DesignLab's 7-day Sketch course, which has been pretty easy to follow, and it's made me feel more empowered, knowing that I have better tools to express my creativity and ideas.
Even if nothing incredible comes out of my efforts EVER, I'm just glad to be moving forward and doing something, instead of just being trapped in my brain, with my 🙉mind - dude's kinda insane!!
Some specialists keep that it developed from the Macao board game in the nineteenth century. Other casino.edu.kg historians consider that its origins date back to 15th century Italy and that it was popularized by Charles VIII’s troopers through the Franco-Italian war. As have the ability to|you probably can} see, a single phrase of nice print can have a large influence on the worth of a welcome provide.
